NO. ATTLEBORO, Mass. – The Southern New Hampshire University athletic department had 253 of its student-athletes, representing all 18 programs, receive NE10 Spring 2026 Academic Honor Roll recognition, the league office announced Wednesday.
In total, 3,528 NE10 student-athletes earned a grade-point average of 3.0 or better, as the Academic Honor Roll members made up 71 percent of the total number of student-athletes from the 10 NE10 institutions. In addition, all 10 NE10 full member institutions had at least 56-percent of their student-athletes on the list. Seven institutions had at least 70 percent of their student-athletes included, with eight reaching 65 percent. SNHU slotted in fourth, percentage-wise, at 74 percent (253 of 342). The Penmen also led the league with 60 perfect 4.0 GPAs.
The Academic Honor Roll – formerly the Commissioner's Honor Roll – acknowledges the commitment of NE10 student-athletes to excel in the classroom with three designations – Academic Excellence (4.0 GPA), Academic Distinction (3.50-3.99 GPA) and Academic Honors (3.00-3.49 GPA).
In a sport-by-sport breakdown, the Penmen men's ice hockey team tied for third in the league in their sport with 25 selections, while men's lacrosse (34) and men's tennis (8) were both fourth. Looking just at the institution, men's lacrosse led the way for SNHU with its 34 honorees, with baseball (25), men's ice hockey (25), women's lacrosse (25) and women's soccer (25) rounding out the top five. Men's soccer (24) and women's track & field (20) were the other two Penmen programs with 20-plus honorees.
