Andrew Doyle began his tenure as Coordinator of Recreation on Aug. 1, 2016.
Doyle is charged with the oversight of SNHU’s recreation programs, including the Fitness Center, group fitness, intramurals, special events, and aquatics.
Doyle joined SNHU after serving as a Program Manager at the NH Sportsplex, where he directly oversaw the company's adult and youth leagues and aided with the daily operation of the facility. Prior to the NH Sportsplex, Doyle worked as a Recreation Assistant with Quinnipiac University and interned with the University of New Hampshire’s Campus Recreation Department after graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology: Sport Studies in May 2014.
As a member of the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association (NIRSA) since 2013, Doyle has served in many roles in the organization, including most recently as the national Chair of the Small Programs Committee for the 2021-22 Committee Year. Doyle has also served as Region I Representative, on the MindShift Marketing Initiative Committee, Creative Excellence Awards Judge, on the Small Programs Work Team, Chair of the Region I Conference Social Committee and the regional Chair of the Small Programs Committee. He has also been designated as one of 183 Registered Collegiate Recreational Sports Professionals in North America by NIRSA. Additionally, Doyle hosted the NH/ME/VT Collegiate Recreation Workshop in the summer of 2018 and was selected to do so again in 2019. Doyle was accepted into the prestigious NIRSA School of Collegiate Recreation Management in December 2018 and took part in the week-long retreat to Portland, Ore., in May 2019.
Doyle was honored with the SNHU Student Affairs' Outstanding Service Award in May 2019 and also received a NIRSA Annual Service Award in April 2020.
On campus, Doyle also serves as a member of multiple committees and initiatives dedicated to student development including the Sophomores Rising, Leadership Symposium, and the Legacy Leadership Fellows. In Spring 2019, he began his foray into teaching through IST-395: Recreation Leadership. Doyle is also certified as a First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor and Lifeguard Manager through the American Red Cross and Certified Pool Operator through the National Swimming Pool Foundation.
Doyle, a native of Brookline (N.H.), currently resides in Concord and has been appointed to the Concord Recreation & Parks Advisory Committee.
