Biography
2019:
- Ran a PR time at the NCAA Division II National Championships at Sacramento, Calif. on November 23 with a 23:39.5
- Finished 84th at the 2019 NE10 Championships at Jamesville, N.Y. with a time of 28:01.2
- Opened the season with a 13th place finish at the Shacklette Invitational in 21:12.7
2018:
- Raced in three events for the Penmen
- Turned in her fastest time of the season at the season opener, the Shacklette, on September 1. Finished 22nd in 21:08.7
2017:
- Saw action in all but one of the Penmen races during the fall
- Posted two top-25 finishes, the first of which came in the season opener on September 1, where her time of 25:11 placed her No. 23 at the Temple Invite
- Top finish of the season came at the Bruce Kirsch Cup on September 16, where she crossed the finish line in 24:52 to check in third
- Clocked fastest time of the fall on October 7 at the New England Championship, where she crossed the line in 21:37
2016:
- Competed in five of six events
- Turned in her top time of the season at the Bruce Kirsh Cup in 20:09, which was good enough for No. 15 overall
- Opened the season with a 20:34 showing at the NE10 Preview Meet on September 3
- Closed the year at the NCAA Division II East Regional, where she clocked an official time of 24:24
BEFORE SNHU/PERSONAL:
- Sport Management major
- 2016 graduate of Valhalla High School
- Competed for the Vikings’ cross country, track and field, and volleyball teams
- Three-time All-League honoree in cross country
- Received All-Section honors in both the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and the 1000-meters
- Three-time All-League selection in the 1000-meters and the 4x400-meter relay
- Two-time All-League choice in the 400-meters, 1500-meters, 400-meter intermediate hurdles and the 4x800 relay
- Set school record in 600-meters, 800-meters, 1000-meters, 1500-meters, 1600-meters and the distance medley relay
- Member of the Valhalla High School 4x800-meter relay team that set the school record in 2014
- Competed in the New York High School State Meet in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles as a senior
- Recipient of the Nicholas Modugno Award at Valhalla High School
- Daughter of Al and Shari Brand
- Has a brother named Jason and a sister named Lexi
- Lists becoming an Athletics Director as her career aspiration
