Headshot for Alyssa Sabotka

Alyssa Sabotka

Prior to joining the SNHU coaching staff, Alyssa Sabotka was a four-year midfielder for the nationally ranked Saint John Fisher College Cardinals in Upstate, N.Y. Through her career, the Cardinals held an impressive 60-6 record, including a COVID-abbreviated 2020 season. The Cardinals returned ablaze in 2021, cruising through the Empire 8 Championship and defeating three ranked teams in the NCAA Championship to win its first ever Regional Championship and making an appearance in the NCAA Final Four.

Sabotka's senior season ranks among the top in the squad’s history, solidifying herself as one of the team’s top scoring threats with 24 goals, one of which was a game-winner. She also picked up 22 ground balls, caused 13 turnovers, and gathered 12 draw controls across 16 games, all of which she started. Her ground ball and caused turnover merits were among the top on the team. Sabotka was part of the Cardinals’ defensive unit in 2020 that was ranked #2 in the nation with a 4.50 goals-against average and 310 total draw controls. Alyssa’s experience will add a defensive centered mind to the well-established coaching staff.

Alyssa graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and was a member of the IWLCA Honor Roll and Empire 8 All-Conference Team, as well as being named the 2021 Sportswoman of the Year.

A native of Rutland, Vt., Alyssa was a tri-scholar athlete in high school.
