Kersten Daneau played four years of collegiate lacrosse at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C., earning the starting spot for her final three years. She started 30 games which included two COVID-impacted seasons. Through 35 games she collected 211 saves for a .364 average and a 12.67 goals-against average. In 2020, she led the Quakers to a program-best 5-0 start in what was pegged to be one of the most successful seasons in recent history before the season was halted due to COVID-19, ending the shortened season with a 6-1 record. During that season she finished with a .463 save percentage and ranked second in the conference in goals-against average (7.51), while also spending time in the NCAA leaderboards on that merit. In 2021 she finished third in the conference with 113 goals against, leading the Quakers to their first quarterfinal appearance since 2016.

Daneau graduated from Guilford in May 2021 with high honors, double majoring in exercise & sports science and health sciences. She was a four-time Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) All-Academic team honoree, eight-time member of Guilford’s Student-Athlete Honor Roll, and eight-time dean’s list student. The Goffstown, N.H. native was named to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll in 2021 and was the recipient of the Outstanding Exercise and Sport Science Major/Sports Medicine Track Award, as well as being named Guilford’s Most Outstanding Student-Athlete in 2021.

Prior to joining the SNHU coaching staff, Kersten spent time coaching with the NC Elite Lacrosse Club in Greensboro, as well as volunteering in multiple youth clinics and elementary schools introducing the sport to the local kids.

Daneau played her high school career locally at Goffstown High School. She was a seasoned athlete on both the lacrosse and soccer fields, playing all four years and making playoff appearances her junior and senior years, respectively.
