Cody Cranor was named AssistantDirector of Athletics for Compliance at SNHU in May, 2013. Heoversees all areas of compliance with NCAA rules and regulationsfor SNHU and the athletic department, including student-athleteeligibility. He executes NCAA bylaws and interpretations withathletic department staff, and serves as the point person forinquiries to the NCAA and the Northeast-10 Conference in allcompliance areas.
Prior to arriving at SNHU, Cranorspent two years as an NCAA compliance intern at Brigham YoungUniversity in Provo, Utah, while also working towards his lawdegree at the BYU law school, which he completed in April,2013. While at BYU, Cranor was responsible for draftingwaivers to the NCAA for legislative relief, medical hardship andstudent-athlete reinstatement, utilizing the NCAAs onlinelegislative database, monitoring of recruiting and playing andpractice activities and NCAA rules education for BYU staffmembers.
A 2008 graduate of Idaho StateUniversity with a degree in Physical Education-Sport Management,Cranor went on to earn his master’s from ISU in AthleticAdministration in 2010. While an undergraduate, Cranor was astudent assistant coach and assistant video coordinator with theBengal men’s basketball program. While in Pocatello, healso served as a legal intern at Racine, Olson, Nye, Budge andBailey from March-May 2010 and May-June 2011.
Cranor is a member of the NationalAssociation for Athletics Compliance, the Sports LawyersAssociation, the American Bar Association and the J. Reuben ClarkLaw Society.
