Following a standout playing career at Southern New Hampshire, Emily Mongeau was named an assistant coach for the Penmen women’s lacrosse program.

Mongeau, who played from 2009-12, ranks among the program leaders in virtually every statistical category.  She is the program’s all-time leader in goals (190), points (255), ground balls (219), draw controls (300) and caused turnovers (126) while sitting fourth in career assists with 65.  An IWLCA and Womens lacrosse.com All-American in 2011, Mongeau was a four-time Northeast-10 All-Conference selection and the league’s Rookie of the Year in 2009.  She also garnered CoSIDA Academic All-America honors and was named the IWLCA Division II Scholar-Athlete of the Year as a senior.

A two-sport athlete during her time at Southern New Hampshire, Mongeau also starred for the Penmen women’s soccer program.  A four-time NE-10 All-Conference performer on the soccer pitch as well, Mongeau, a stalwart defender, helped lead SNHU to the NE-10 championship and an NCAA tournament berth as a senior in the fall of 2012.  She was also a two-time NSCAA All-Region selection.
