Kate Mullen was named the second coach in SNHU women's lacrosse program history on June 1, 2009.

Over nine seasons as a head coach at the collegiate level, Mullen has compiled a 89-69 (.563) career record.

In Mullen's first season at SNHU (2010), she guided the Penmen to their fifth consecutive Northeast-10 semifinal appearance as SNHU finished the season with a 9-8 record.  The Penmen made their sixth straight NE-10 tournament appearance in 2011, also finishing 9-8 overall.

Mullen served as head women's lacrosse coach at Endicott College in Beverly, Mass. from 2006-2008.  Over her three seasons, she led the Gulls to a record of 45-15, including a 24-3 mark in The Commonwealth Coast Conference.  During Mullen's tenure, Endicott captured three straight TCCC championships and earned three consecutive berths to the NCAA Division III tournament.  Mullen was named the conference Coach of the Year in 2008 and also served on the All-America selection committee in 2007 and 2008.  Mullen also worked in Endicott's Office of Admission.

A 2002 graduate of Goucher College in Towson, Md., Mullen was a four-year starter for the Gopher women's lacrosse team.  A Capital Athletic Conference All-Conference selection, Mullen led Goucher in assists and points as a senior and was a part of an offense that led Division III in offense in 2001.  A team captain in 2000, she was nominated for All-Region honors and to play in the North/South All-Star game as a senior.

Following graduation, Mullen was named lacrosse specialist at Queen Anne's School in Caversham, England.  She led the school's U15 team to the 2003 National Schools Championship, and also taught physical education.  Mullen has also served as an instructor at Peak Performance Goalie School.
