In the Fall of 2024, Mike Forgione joined the Southern New Hampshire University men's lacrosse coaching staff, primarily focusing on goalies, faceoffs, and transition defense.

Forgione's coaching career began in 2008 for Watertown Youth Lacrosse (Watertown, MA), before joining Watertown High School as an assistant coach for the lacrosse program's inaugural 2009 season, a role in which he served through the 2012 season.

In 2013, Forgione joined the staff for Lexington High School (Lexington, MA) as an assistant for the varsity boys lacrosse team with a focus on goalies, faceoffs, and defense. Following that first season in Lexington, he served as an assistant for the men's lacrosse program at Mount Ida College (Newton, MA) in 2014, before returning to Lexington and continued to serve in his previous capacity as an assistant coach from 2015-2021.

In 2022, he was invited by Central Catholic High School (Lawrence, MA) to serve as the head coach for the varsity boys lacrosse team, a position he ultimately held through the 2024 season which culminated in the program's best results since 2018.

In addition to his current responsibilities with SNHU, Forgione also currently serves as the vice president for Tewksbury Youth Lacrosse (Tewksbury, MA), and as a head coach for the boys lacrosse club team with Home Grown Lacrosse (North Andover, MA).
