Magdalena Hubickova (Prague, Czech Republic) went 10-1 during the week, including 6-0 in doubles with graduate student Alexxa Etienne (Bayamon, Puerto Rico). Hubickova and Etienne downed the University of New Haven's Karim Carreras and Gaayatri Shankar, 7-6 (7-3), at No. 1 doubles in Tuesday's 6-1 victory and then went 5-0 en route to winning the ITA East Regional Championship doubles title. Hubickova recorded a 6-4, 6-2 win over the Chargers' Valentinna Ferrarini at No. 1 singles and then went 3-1 and advanced to the quarterfinals in the singles bracket at ITAs.
