ALBANY, N.Y. - The College of Saint Rose posted a 3-2
Northeast-10 volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire
University in a key match for both teams at Nolan Gymnasium. Both
teams entered Saturday tied for the eighth and final playoff spot
for the upcoming NE-10 Tournament. The Golden Knights, who won by
scores of 23-30, 30-20, 27-30, 30-26, 17-15, are now 14-11 and 7-6
in NE-10 play, while the Penmen are 10-12 and 5-7 in the league.
Southern New Hampshire got a
match-high 17 kills and a .533 hitting percentage from freshman
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY). Dluginski also added five
blocks (two solo, three assists). Casey Stoodley (Salem, NH) added
13 kills and 12 digs while posting seven service aces. Brianna
Doucet (Danville, NH) had 11 kills, 12 digs and four aces, while
Kelly Scanlon (East Providence, RI) handed out 29 assists.
Jaclyn Griffin led Saint Rose with
14 kills.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Sunday when it completes its two-game road swing with a noon
contest at Le Moyne.
