MANCHESTER, N.H. - Brooke Lefort
(Cumberland, RI) registered a match-high 13 kills as Southern New
Hampshire University posted a 3-0 Northeast-10 women's volleyball
victory over Stonehill College at the SNHU Fieldhouse Wednesday
night. The Penmen, who snapped a five-game slide with the
victory, improved to 6-8 overall and 2-5 in the NE-10, while the
Skyhawks saw their two-game win streak snapped as they are now 5-12
and 2-3 in the league.
Lefort, a senior, recorded a .600
hitting percentage for the match while also adding five blocks (two
solo, three assisted). Stephanie Dluginski
(Floral Park, NY) totaled nine kills, three service aces and four
blocks (three solo, one assisted), while Kim Rowe
(Exeter, NH) handed out 18 assists. Kelly
Scanlon (East Providence, RI) added 16 assists, while
Brianna Doucet (Danville, NH) led the Penmen
defensively with 15 digs.
The Skyhawks were led by
Katherine Masson (Acushnet, MA) who finished with
nine kills. Justine Thompson (Merrimack, NH)
and Heidi Woerner (North Kingstown, RI) each added
seven kills. Andrea Wirth (Mesa, AZ) handed
out 25 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Tuesday when it hosts Saint Anselm College in a
non-league match starting at 7:00.
