WORCESTER, Mass. - Host Assumption College rallied from a
2-0 deficit to post a 3-2 Northeast-10 volleyball victory over
Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday night at Laska
Gymnasium. The Greyhounds improve to 6-1 and 2-0 in the
league, while the Penmen are now 3-2 and 1-1 in NE-10 play.
The game scores were 23-30, 25-30,
30-28, 30-25 and 15-12.
Briana Doucet
(Danville, NH) led Southern New Hampshire with 16 kills and 25
digs, while Casey Stoodley (Salem, NH) and
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY) each added
11 kills. Stoodley recorded 14 digs while Dluginski had two
solo and three assisted blocks. Nicky Dumond
(Tewksbury, MA) had 29 assists while Kelly Scanlon
(East Providence, RI) handed out 17. Allison
Murphy (Montague, MA) added 15 digs.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it travels to the University of Bridgeport for
a tri-match where it will face the host Purple Knights at 1:00 and
the University of the Sciences at 3:00.
