NYACK, N.Y. - Sam Carey (Manchester, NH) finished with 28 points for Southern New Hampshire University but the Penmen fell to host Nyack College 83-64 Monday evening.  SNHU saw a four-game win streak snapped and is now 9-8 overall, while the Warriors are 8-10 on the season.

Carey was 12-15 from the floor but was the lone Penmen in double figures.  Chase Miller (Fairfax, VA) and Troy Bowen (Nashua, NH) each finished with nine points.  Brian Roberts led Nyack with 22 points.

Nyack jumped out to a 10-0 lead just three minutes into the contest and held a 22-12 lead when the Penmen made a 7-0 run to make it 22-19 on a Carey basket with 5:44 before intermission.  The Warriors responded with seven unanswered points of their own and held a 35-29 lead at halftime.

The hosts outscored Southern New Hampshire 17-4 over the first five minutes of the second half to take a 52-33 lead on a Roberts basket.  The Penmen would get no closer than 12 points the rest of the way.
