MANCHESTER, N.H. - Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY)
totaled 12 kills and five blocks to lead Southern New Hampshire
University to a 3-2 Northeast-10 volleyball win over The College of
Saint Rose at the SNHU Fieldhouse Friday night. The Penmen,
who have won four out of their last five games, improved to 5-6 and
2-1 in the NE-10, while the Golden Knights are now 8-5 and 3-2 in
the league.
The set scores were 23-25, 25-12,
25-17, 21-25, 16-14.
Brianna Doucet
(Danville, NH) totaled 12 kills and 12 digs for SNHU, which also
got 10 kills from Jamie Rood (Southbury,
CT). Allison Murphy (Montague, MA) totaled a
game-high 13 digs for the Penmen, while Nicky
Dumond (Tewksbury, MA) totaled 21 assists and Kim
Rowe (Exeter, NH) 19 assists. Danielle
Coffey (Westboro, MA) finished with six blocks (three
solo, three assists).
For Saint Rose, Marilyn Glamack
totaled 14 kills while Rachel Baxter and Jaclyn Griffin had 10
kills apiece. Glamack also led the Golden Knights with 11
digs, while Theresa Staulo handed out 39 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts Le Moyne College in a 1:00 game at
the SNHU Fieldhouse. Saint Rose remains in Manchester to face
Saint Anselm on Saturday.
