NEW HAVEN, Conn. -
No. 4 Southern New Hampshire University and Southern Connecticut
State University played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie in
Northeast-10 men's soccer Saturday night at Jess Dow Field.
The Penmen, who are unbeaten in their last nine games, are now
9-1-2 overall and 5-0-2 in the NE-10, while the Owls are 4-4-4 and
3-1-4 in the league.
Southern New Hampshire keeper
Sean Lambert (Rehoboth, MA) turned aside three
shots en route to his sixth shutout of the season and SNHU's ninth
shutout in 12 games. Owl keeper Andrew Esposito stopped four
shots. The Penmen held a 15-7 shot advantage on the evening,
including a 5-3 edge in the two overtime sessions.
SNHU returns to action on Wednesday
night when it hosts Assumption College in a 7:00 contest at Larkin
Field.
