Volleyball Falls to Post in Season Opener

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Natasha Loving (Bronx, NY) totaled 15 kills to lead Post University as it rallied from a 2-1 deficit to post a 3-2 women's volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.  The Eagles improve to 1-2 on the season, while the game marked the season opener for the Penmen.

The set scores were 22-25, 25-23, 15-25, 25-19, 15-11.

Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY) led Southern New Hampshire with 17 kills and four assisted blocks, while Jamie Rood (Southbury, CT) totaled eight kills and eight digs.  Brianna Doucet (Danville, NH) finished with 17 digs and seven kills, while Allison Murphy (Montague, MA) added 14 digs.  Nicky Dumond (Tewksbury, MA) handed out 18 assists.

For Post, Kerry Smith (Lynbrook, NY) and Nicole Gizzi (Waterbury, CT) each added 10 kills, while Smith also had a match-high 23 digs.  Taylor Doyle (Mystic, CT) handed out 33 assists.

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Wednesday evening when it travels to Keene State College for a 7:00 match.
