BROOKHAVEN, N.Y. - Paulson Edum (Calabar, Nigeria) totaled
a goal and an assist as visiting Southern New Hampshire University
scored twice in a span of 58 seconds midway through the second half
as it defeated Dowling College 2-0 in men's soccer Saturday
afternoon at Golden Lions Field. The Penmen, who have now win
five in a row and have shut out four of their last five opponents,
improved to 7-1 overall, while the Golden Lions are now 3-2 on the
season.
Edum would get Southern New
Hampshire on the board at the 71:12 mark. Michael
Adam (Ludlow, MA) delivered a cross into the box that Edum
headed home to give the Penmen a 1-0 advantage. Just under a
minute later, Edum would feed Ransford Shand
(Brooklyn, NY), who scored from five yards out on the right side
and snuck the ball inside the far left post.

(Rehoboth, MA) turned aside six shots for Southern New Hampshire to
earn his fourth shutout of the season. Dowling, which outshot
SNHU 12-11, got four saves from Nemanja Velijovic.
SNHU returns to Northeast-10 play
on Wednesday afternoon when it travels to Stonehill College for a
4:00 match.
