Merrimack Moves Past Volleyball 3-1

MANCHESTER, N.H. - Ale Kuncaitis totaled 13 kills to lead Merrimack College to a 3-1 non-conference volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Saturday afternoon.  The Warriors improved to 6-4 overall, while the Penmen are now 1-5 in the league.

The set scores were 20-25, 25-10, 25-13, 25-16.

Kuncaitis also totaled 12 digs for the Warriors.  Molly Cindric had eight kills and 11 digs, while Alyssa Pickert notched a team-high 20 digs for Merrimack.  Heidi Wroblicky handed out 22 assists.

Brianna Doucet (Danville, NH) led Southern New Hampshire with 11 kills, while Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, NY) had eight kills and three block assists.  Ashley Dingle (Malone, NY) finished with a team-high 18 digs, while Kim Rowe (Exeter, NH) led the Penmen with 15 assists.  Danielle Coffey (Westborough, MA) finished with seven blocks (two solo, five assists).

Southern New Hampshire returns to action Tuesday night when it travels to Saint Anselm College for a non-league game that starts at 7:30.
