BOX SCORE

ALBANY, N.Y. - Senior Kevin Woods (Alyth, Scotland) totaled a goal and two assists as fifth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University posted a 4-1 Northeast-10 men's soccer victory over The College of Saint Rose at Albany Academy Saturday afternoon.  The Penmen, who have won seven of their last eight games and are unbeaten in 13 straight (11-0-2), improved to 12-1-2 overall and 9-0-2 in the NE-10, while the Golden Knights are 2-12-1 and 1-9-1 in the league.

Southern New Hampshire would score three goals in a span of 4:36 late in the first half to take a 3-0 lead.  Woods got the Penmen on the board at the 34:49 mark when he took a feed from Danny Hernandez (Salem, N.H.) and scored.  Just under a minute later, P.J. Burnette (Brunswick, Maine) redirected a shot attempt in the box by Michael Adam (Ludlow, Mass.) following a restart for the eventual game-winner.  Woods also assisted on the tally.  Adam would add an unassisted tally at the 39:25 mark.

Saint Rose would get on the board 19 seconds before halftime when Justin Little converted a penalty kick.

Hernandez would make it 4-1 three minutes into the second half when he took a feed from Woods and found the lower left corner of the goal.  It marked Woods' second assist of the afternoon.

Joey Kapinos (Ludlow, Mass.) went the distance in net for Southern New Hampshire and made one save en route to the victory.  Patrik Ohlsson made three saves as the Penmen outshot the Golden Knights 12-5.

Southern New Hampshire returns home on Tuesday night when it hosts Bentley University in a 7:00 contest at Larkin Field.  The Penmen can wrap up their second straight Northeast-10 regular season title with a win Tuesday.
