MANCHESTER, N.H. - Visiting Southern Connecticut
State University posted a 3-1 Northeast-10 volleyball victory over
Southern New Hampshire University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Friday
night. The Owls snapped a three-game slide and improved to
14-3 overall and 3-3 in the NE-10, while the Penmen are now 7-3 and
1-3 in the league. The set scores were 25-20, 18-25, 25-20,
27-25.
Megan Lyons led the Owls with 12
kills and nine digs, while Jenna Tammel totaled 10 kills and 13
digs. Vanessa Sullivan registered a team-high 15 digs, while
Kimberly Lachowicz handed out 35 assists and added 10 digs.
Broghan Miller had eight kills, nine digs and four block assists.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) led Southern New Hampshire
with 14 kills and seven blocks (four solo), while Erica
Solomon (East Islip, N.Y.) added a season-high 11 kills
while also recording nine digs. Caitlin
Wilson (Milton, N.H.) notched 21 digs on the evening,
while Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) had 16
assists and 12 sigs. Allison Murphy
(Montague, Mass.) also had 12 digs, while Kim Rowe (Exeter, N.H.)
had three blocks (one solo).
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it travels to New Haven for a 1:00 contest.
