MANCHESTER, N.H. - Southern New Hampshire
University posted a 3-1 Northeast-10 volleyball victory over Saint
Michael's College at the SNHU Fieldhouse Wednesday night. The
Penmen won their second straight to improve to 9-8 overall and 3-6
in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights are 5-15 and 1-12 in the
league.
The set scores were 23-25, 25-22,
25-22, 25-14.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) led Southern New Hampshire
with 17 kills and five blocks (two solo), while Danielle
Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) had six kills and six
blocks. Ashley Dingle (Malone, N.Y.) totaled
a team-high 14 digs defensively while Caitlin
Wilson (Milton, N.H.) added 10 digs. Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) handed out 27 assists and
registered 10 digs.
Lindsey Frazier led Saint Michael's
with 13 kills while Tracy Peterka notched 12 kills. Katie
Walsh and Kelly Garthwait each notched 14 digs, while Walsh also
handed out 37 assists.
Southern New Hampshire will host a
tri-match on Saturday, taking on New York Institute of Technology
at 10:00 am and Stonehill in a conference match at 2:00. NYIT
and Stonehill will meet in a noon match at the SNHU
Fieldhouse.
