MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire
University volleyball team dropped a pair of games Saturday as part
of a tri-match, falling to New York Institute of Technology 3-1 and
Stonehill College 3-0 in a Northeast-10 match. The Penmen are
now 9-10 overall and 3-7 in the NE-10. NYIT is 9-17, while
the Skyhawks are 14-7 and 8-3 in the league.
Against the Bears, the set scores
were 25-23, 14-25, 25-21, 25-18, while against Stonehill they were
25-19, 25-15, 26-24.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) led SNHU with 13 kills and
10 blocks (two solo) against NYIT, while Danielle
Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) finished with 11 kills and six
blocks (three solo). Caitlin Wilson (Milton,
N.H.) led the Penmen defensively with 28 digs, while
Allison Murphy (Montague, Mass.) notched 11
digs. Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.)
totaled 21 assists, nine digs and five block assists.
Dluginski finished with nine kills
and five blocks in the nightcap while Coffey added seven kills and
four blocks. Wilson notched 17 digs while older sister
Kristin Wilson (Milton, N.H.) totaled nine digs
against the Skyhawks. Lorenz and Kim Rowe
(Exeter, N.H.) each handed out eight assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action next Friday when it hosts The College of Saint Rose in a
7:00 match at the SNHU Fieldhouse.
