Visiting Saint Rose rallied from a 2-0 deficit to post a 3-2
Northeast-10 volleyball victory over Southern New Hampshire
University at the SNHU Fieldhouse Friday night. The Golden
Knights improved to 14-12 and 4-8 in the NE-10, while the Penmen
are now 9-11 and 3-8 in the league. The set scores were
17-25, 21-25, 25-15, 25-22, 15-13.
Sarah Kahrs led the Golden Knights
with 18 kills, while Chelsea Tyler totaled 10 kills and six block
assists. Theresa Staulo handed out 45 assists, while Mary
German and Marilyn Glamack paced Saint Rose defensively with 22 and
14 digs, respectively.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) led Southern New Hampshire
with 19 kills and three block assists, while Danielle
Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) and Allison
Murphy (Montague, Mass.) totaled seven kills apiece.
Coffey also finished with four blocks (two solo).
Caitlin Wilson (Milton, N.H.) had a game-high 25
digs for the Penmen, while Erica Solomon (Islip
Terrace, N.Y.) had six kills and nine digs. Kim
Rowe (Exeter, N.H.) handed out 24 assists while
Shayla Belanger (Hudson, N.H.) registered 15
assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts Le Moyne College in a 1:00 contest at
the SNHU Fieldhouse.
