N.Y. - The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball
team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to top Pace University 3-2 in
Northeast-10 action at the Goldstein Center Friday night. The
Penmen, who snapped a five-game slide with the win, improved to
10-13 overall and 4-10 in the NE-10, while the Setters are now
16-10 and 8-6 in the league.
The set scores were 21-25, 25-27,
25-23, 25-10, 15-6.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) hit .400 on the evening and
totaled 18 kills and five blocks (one solo), while Kim
Rowe (Exeter, N.H.) finished with nine kills.
Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.0 had seven
kills and 15 digs, while Allison Murphy (Montague,
Mass.) had seven kills and 12 digs. Danielle
Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) had seven blocks (three solo)
to go along with five kills. Lauren Lorenz
(Frankfort, Ill.) registered 39 assists, 11 digs and five kills,
while Caitlin Wilson (Milton, N.H.) led SNHU
defensively with 24 digs.
Nora Rugova led Pace with 14 kills
while Sianna Johnson and Susana Verdugo-Del Real each finished with
12 kills. Shea Hansen handed out 40 assists, while Stephanie
Kazmiercza had 21 digs to lead the Setters.
Southern New Hampshire closes out
its 2009 season Saturday with a 1:00 match at Adelphi University.
