No. 8 Southern New Hampshire University and Stonehill College
battled to a 0-0, double-overtime tie in Northeast-10 men's soccer
Wednesday afternoon at Skyhawk Field. The Penmen, who are
unbeaten in their last five games, are now 5-1-1 and 2-0-1 in the
NE-10, while the Skyhawks are 5-1-1 and 1-1-1 in the league.
The game marked the fourth straight
shutout for Southern New Hampshire, as it has not allowed a goal
since the first half of a September 3 contest against Saint Thomas
Aquinas. The Penmen have not allowed a goal in the last
448:15 of game time.
SNHU goalkeeper Sean
Lambert (Rehoboth, Mass.) turned aside five shots in the
tie, while Stonehill keeper Brandon McFarlane made seven saves as
the Penmen outshot the Skyhawks 13-8. Lambert has not allowed
a goal in his last 425:26 between the pipes.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday when it hosts American International College in a
7:00 Northeast-10 contest at Larkin Field.
