WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.—The Southern New
Hampshire University volleyball team fell to Barry University by a
score of 3-0 on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
With the loss, the Penmen fall to 7-6 overall, while the win
improves Barry to 10-3 on the season.
Game scores were 25-11, 25-17, 25-10.
Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) led
the Penmen with seven kills, hitting at .636. Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) contributed 17 assists to
Southern New Hampshire's offense. Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.), Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) and Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) each finished with four
kills on the afternoon.
Julia Teixeira led Barry with 13 kills and five service aces on
the afternoon. Lanie Muys and Ady Alcantara each finished
with nine kills, while Amie Manke finished with a game-high seven
digs. Libby Walter recorded 31 assists for Barry.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Thursday, traveling
to American International College for a 7:00 p.m. Northeast-10
Conference matchup.
