SPRINGFIELD, Mass.—The Southern New
Hampshire University volleyball team fell to the Yellow Jackets of
American International College by a score of 3-2 on Thursday
evening. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 7-7 overall and
3-3 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the loss boosts the
Yellow Jackets to 14-8 overall and 6-3 in NE-10 play.
Game scores were: 25-18, 16-25, 14-25, 25-17 and
15-11.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled 15 kills and
seven blocks for the Penmen. Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) added ten kills and ten digs,
while Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) had a team-high 11 digs for
Southern New Hampshire. Lauren Lorenz
(Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 32 assists for the Penmen and also
added eight digs.
Ellisha Terry tallied 15 kills and 13 digs in the win for
American International. Darsel Springer and Keziah Kashouh
added 12 and ten kills, respectively, while Caitlin Connelly posted
a game-high 15 digs. Kerville Redhead dished out a game-high
47 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday at 1:00
p.m., hosting Assumption in Northeast-10 Conference action at the
SNHU Fieldhouse.
