WALTHAM, Mass.
– Ninth-ranked Southern New Hampshire University and
Bentley University battled to a 0-0, double-overtime tie in
Northeast-10 men's soccer Tuesday afternoon. The Penmen
now stand at 11-1-2 overall and 7-1-2 in NE-10 play, while the
Falcons are now 8-2-4 and 5-1-4 in the league.
SNHU goalkeeper Jon
Mayo (Merrimack, N.H.) made three saves in goal to earn
his fourth shutout of the season, while Bentley goalie Mike
Nikiforov made seven stops. The Penmen outshot the Falcons
13-8, while the hosts generated a 7-3 advantage in corner
kicks.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action Saturday night when it travels to Southern Connecticut State
University for a 6:00 contest.
