MANCHESTER,
N.H.—The Southern New Hampshire University
volleyball team dropped a Northeast-10 Conference match to the
University of New Haven Chargers on Saturday afternoon by a score
of 3-0. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 6-3 overall and 2-2
in the NE-10, while the win boosts the Chargers to 12-1 overall and
5-0 in NE-10 play.
Game scores were 25-16, 25-17, and
25-15.
Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled ten kills and
two blocks to lead the Penmen. Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 21 assists on the
afternoon and added seven digs. Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) and Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) each totaled seven digs
for the Penmen as well.
The Chargers were led by Sara
Malmlov who totaled ten kills and seven digs. Chelsey Alpough
dished out a game-high 25 assists for New Haven, while Heather
Ladeo had eight digs.
Southern New Hampshire returns to
action on Wednesday, hosting Bentley in Northeast-10 Conference
action at 7:30 p.m. in the SNHU Fieldhouse.
