MANCHESTER, N.H.—Molly Cindric totaled 18 kills and 17 digs to lead the Merrimack College Warriors to a 3-1 Northeast-10 volleyball win against the Southern New Hampshire University Penmen at the SNHU Fieldhouse. With the loss, the Penmen fall 9-10 overall and 5-5 in the NE-10, while the win improves the Warriors to 8-13 overall and 6-6 in conference play.
Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) served for nine-straight points, including three service aces, to lead the Penmen to a 25-17 win in the first game, but the Warriors would rally to win the next three games by scores of 25-14, 25-18, and 25-21.
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) and Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) both tallied 12 kills in the loss for the Penmen. Williams finished with a match-high 12 digs, while Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 30 assists on the evening for the Penmen. Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) finished with a match-high five blocks.
In addition to Cindric's 18 kills, Nicole Duarte added 12 kills, while Elyse Lorenz added a match-high 43 assists. Alyssa Pickert added 22 digs for the Warriors.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Friday, traveling to the College of Saint Rose for a 7:00 p.m. match.
