MANCHESTER, N.H.—Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) totaled 12 kills and ten
digs to lead the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team
to a 3-1 over visiting Bentley University on Wednesday
evening. With the win, the Penmen improve to 7-3 overall and
3-2 in the Northeast-10, while the loss drops the Falcons to 8-9
overall and 3-3 in NE-10 play.
Game scores were 25-17, 22-25, 27-25 and 25-18.
The win marks only the second time that Southern New Hampshire
has defeated Bentley in 28 all-time meetings.
Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) tallied 37 assists and ten
digs for the Penmen. Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) added 11 assists to the
Penmen offense, and Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) posted a career-high 17 digs
and added eight kills.
Andrea Farah led Bentley with nine kills and 11 digs.
Kelly Mee posted 34 assists for the Falcons, while Maitlyn Kraft
added 16 digs.
The Penmen hit at .203 on the evening, while holding the Falcons
to just .097 over four games.
Southern New Hampshire travels to Florida this weekend to take
part in the Beach on the Bash Tournament hosted by Palm Beach
Atlantic University on Saturday. The Penmen will face
Kentucky State at 9:30 a.m. and Flagler College at 11:30
a.m.
