EASTON, Mass.—The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision to the Skyhawks of Stonehill College on Tuesday evening at Merkert Gymnasium. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 10-12 overall and 6-7 in the Northeast-10 Conference, while the win boosts the Skyhawks to 13-12 overall and 9-4 in NE-10 play.
Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) totaled 15 kills and 11 digs to lead the Penmen, who fell by scores of 25-11, 25-13, 29-31, 23-25, 15-11. Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) added 14 kills and four blocks, while Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) contributed to the Penmen effort with ten kills and nine digs. Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out a match-high 37 assists and team-high 12 digs.
Sydney Maxey led Stonehill with 15 kills and 16 digs. Laura Huselton posted a match-high 19 digs defensively for the Skyhawks while also adding 12 kills. Erin Johnson added 14 kills for the Skyhawks, while Andrea Wirth dished out 31 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Friday, hosting Pace in Northeast-10 Conference action at 7:00 p.m.
