MANCHESTER, N.H.—Sianna Johnson and Nora Rugova combined for 25 kills to lead the Pace University setters to 3-0 shutout against the Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team on Friday evening in Northeast-10 Conference action. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 10-13 overall and 6-8 in the NE-10, while the win improves the Setters to 19-8 overall and 10-4 in league play.
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled 15 kills and an overall hitting percentage of .345 to lead the Penmen, who fell by scores of 25-23, 25-16, and 25-22. Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) contributed offensively with 12 kills and posted a team-best eight digs defensively. Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) added eight kills and five digs, while Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) posted a team-high four blocks. Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 31 assists on the evening for Southern New Hampshire.
Johnson and Rugova totaled 12 and 13 kills, respectively, to pace the Setters to the win. Elyse Rowland posted a match-high 13 digs for Pace, while Shea Hansen dished out 29 assists. The Setters hit at an overall .296 while limiting the Penmen to a hitting percentage of .230.
Southern New Hampshire rounds out the regular season tomorrow as they host Adelphi University at 1:00 p.m. in the Fieldhouse for the final NOrthest-10 Conference matchup of the season. The Penmen will honor lone senior Dluginski before the start of the match.
