MANCHESTER, N.H.—Senior Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled 18 kills in her final game in a Penmen uniform as the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball fell to Adelphi University 3-1 in Northeast-10 Conference action on Saturday afternoon. With the loss, the Penmen wrap up the season at 10-14 overall and 6-9 in NE-10 action, while the Panthers improve to 18-10 overall and 11-4 in the league.
Game scores were 25-22, 25-18, 24-26, and 25-16.
In addition to Dluginski's 18 kills, the Penmen were led by Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) who totaled 10 kills and eight digs on the afternoon. Setter Lauren Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 40 assists for the Penmen and posted a team-high 13 digs. Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) posted a season-best seven blocks, including five solo blocks.
Adelphi was led by Hilary Pavels, who totaled 14 kills and 14 digs. Bree Popham and Heather Mau each finished the afternoon with a match-high 15 digs. Katie Bryson dished out 33 assists on the afternoon for the Panthers, who will now advance to the Northeast-10 tournament.
Dluginski, the lone senior on the Penmen roster this season, ends her career as one of the most decorated players in program history. During this season, she became the all-time career leader in blocks with 331. She also wraps up her career ranked second all-time in kills with 1,115.
