MANCHESTER, N.H.—The Southern New Hampshire
University women's soccer team broke a 21-game winless streak
against in-state rival No. 9 Franklin Pierce University on Saturday
afternoon, posting a 1-0 victory at Larkin Field. Win the
win, the Penmen improve to 3-2 overall and 2-2 in the
Northeast-10 Conference, while the Ravens suffer their first loss
of the season and fall to 4-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in NE-10
action.

Jaskula (Palmer, Mass.) notched her first collegiate
goal 20:22 into the first half to give the Penmen the game-winning
goal. Ariel
Teixeira (Warren, R.I.) had the ball at the top of the
penalty box and connected with the streaking Jaskula, who
fired the shot past Franklin Pierce goalkeeper Jocelyn
Leon.

Franklin Pierce since 1991, when Laini Short scored the
game-winning goal in a 1-0 Penmen effort at Franklin Pierce.
Maggie
Weldon (Manchester, N.H.) stopped five shots in net
for the Penmen en route to her second career shutout. Leon
recorded two saves as the Ravens outshot the Penmen
