MANCHESTER, N.H.—The Southern New
Hampshire University women's volleyball team opened
Northeast-10 Conference play with a win on the road, defeating
cross town rival Saint Anselm College 3-1 on Wednesday
evening. With the win, the Penmen improve to 5-1 overall and
1-0 in the NE-10, while the Hawks remain winless at 0-5 overall and
0-1 in NE-10 play.
Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) led the
Penmen with 15 kills and four blocks. She finished the evening with
an overall hitting percentage of .429. Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) added 11 kills and three
blocks. Peyton
Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) added nine kills
and ten digs. Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out a game-high 36
assists, while Erica
Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) led the Penmen with 16
digs.
Charlotte Tencza led Saint Anselm with ten kills and nine
digs. Samantha Elliot and Lauren Ross added eight and seven
kills, respectively. Rachel Flaherty led the Hawks with 26
assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Tuesday, September
28, hosting Franklin Pierce University at 7:00 p.m. in the
Fieldhouse.
