MANCHESTER, N.H.—Stephanie Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled 16
kills to lead the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team
to a 3-0 victory over Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon
at the SNHU Fieldhouse. The non-conference matchup marked the
season opener for both teams.
The set scores were 25-13, 25-18, and 25-20.
Freshmen Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.), Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) and Peyton
Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) all had standout
first performances for the Penmen, as they had nine kills
apiece. Williams also led the Penmen with 11 digs.
Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) dished out 38 assists on the
afternoon.
Katie Walsh led Saint Michael's with seven kills and eight
digs. Tracy Peterka finished with seven kills and six digs,
while Courtney Dunne had nine digs for the Purple Knights.
Jessica McLeod finished with 29 assists.
Southern New Hampshire converted on .44.1 percent of attack
attempts, while holding Saint Michael's to 21.3 percent.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Tuesday, September
7, hosting Saint Anselm in a non-conference match at 7:00 p.m. in
the SNHU Fieldhouse.
