MANCHESTER, N.H.—Stephanie
Dluginski (Floral Park, N.Y.) totaled 11 kills and two
blocks as the Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team
defeated cross-town rival Saint Anselm College 3-0 on Tuesday
evening in the SNHU Fieldhouse. With the win, the Penmen
better their record to 2-0 overall, while the loss drops the
visiting Hawks to 0-3.
Set scores were 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.
In addition to Dluginski, Megan
Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) contributed nine kills to
the Penmen attack, and Ashlee
Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) added seven kills.
Lauren
Lorenz (Frankfort, Ill.) recorded a game-high 29
assists on the evening, while Penmen libero Erica
Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) led the game with 11
digs.
Charlotte Tencza led Saint Anselm with five kills. Rachel
Flaherty dished out 23 assists for the Hawks, while Kyla Gustavson
led the team with nine digs.
Southern New Hampshire finished the evening hitting at .342
including a third game that saw the Penmen hit at .462. The Penmen
limited the Hawks to a .136 attack percentage on the evening.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Saturday, traveling
to Le Moyne College for a double feature against Bloomfield College
and the Le Moyne Dolphins. Game times are set for 1:00 and
3:00 p.m.
