MANCHESTER, N.H.—Aubrey Bobo tallied 21 kills to lead the visiting Golden Knights of the College of Saint Rose to a 3-2 Northeast-10 Conference volleyball win over the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University on Friday evening in the SNHU Fieldhouse. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 4-12 overall and 2-7 in NE-10 play, while the win boosts the Golden Knights to 11-7 overall and 6-3 in league play.
Game scores were 20-25, 25-11, 25-14, 22-25, and 15-6.
Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) and Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) both led the Penmen with eight kills apiece. Coffey also added a match-high six blocks, while Solomon led the Penmen in digs with 13. Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) posted 17 assists for SNHU, while Emily Winters (Kingston, Ontario) added 10. Jess Marshall (Hudson, N.H.) tallied three service aces on the evening.
In addition to Bobo's 21 kills, the Golden Knights were also led by Sarah Kahrs, who contributed 10 kills. Katy Daniels posted a match-high 32 kills for Saint Rose, while Tori Daniels and Ariana Wilson contributed 25 and 22 assists, respectively. Daniels also served a match-high five service aces.
The Golden Knights hit at an overall .267 hitting percentage, while holding the Penmen to a hitting percentage of .048.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action tomorrow when it hosts Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 Conference action at 4:00 p.m. in the SNHU Fieldhouse.
