Box Score GARDEN CITY, N.Y.—The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team dropped a 3-2 decision on the road against Adelphi University on Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference play. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 5-15 overall and 3-10 in NE-10 play, while the win boosts the Panthers to 16-7 overall and 9-3 in league play.
Game scores were 21-25, 25-9, 25-23, 19-25, 15-9.
Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) led the Penmen with 11 kills and six blocks. Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) added eight kills and 13 digs. Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) led the Penmen in digs with 17, while Heather Colby (North Kingstown, R.I.) added 15. Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) dished out 30 assists for SNHU.
Patawe Simms led the Panthers with 14 kills. Emily Dorko added 12 kills. Bianca Hernandez posted a match-high 31 digs, while Katie Bryson dished out a match-high 28 assists.
The Panthers hit at .161 through five games while holding the Penmen to a .053 hitting percentage.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Tuesday when it travels to Bentley for a 7:30 p.m. Northeast-10 Conference matchup.
