Bentley Tops Volleyball 3-1

WALTHAM, Mass.—The Southern New Hampshire University volleyball team dropped a 3-1 Northeast-10 Conference decision to Bentley University on Tuesday evening at the Dana Center.  With the loss, the Penmen fall to 5-16 overall and 3-11 in NE-10 play while the win boosts the Falcons to 12-14 overall and 7-7 in league action. 

Game scores were 25-19, 25-17, 20-25, and 25-19.

Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) led the Penmen with 10 kills and nine blocks, averaging 2.25 blocks per game.  Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) added nine kills and a team-high 15 digs.  Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) dished out 28 assists and added four blocks for the Penmen, while Jess Marshall (Hudson, N.H.) contributed six kills for the Penmen's offensive effort. 

The Falcons were led by Kelsey Buckner with 13 kills and Kaleigh Sullivan and Savannah Dominguez, who finished with 12 kills apiece.  Lauren Colasanti posted  team-high 14 digs, while Alex Tator dished out 46 assists for the Falcons. 

Bentley hit at a .361 through four games while holding the Penmen to a hitting percentage of .118. 

Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Friday evening when it hosts American International College at 7:00 p.m. for the final regular season game of the season.
