Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H.—The American International College volleyball team posted a comeback after dropping the first two games to win 3-2 against the Penmen of Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 Conference play on Friday afternoon.
Game scores were 23-25, 23-25, 25-13, 25-20, 15-13.
Lone Penmen senior Danielle Coffey (Westborough, Mass.) tallied 13 kills in the loss. She rounds out her collegiate career with 472 career blocks and owns the Penmen career blocks record with 372.
Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) led the Penmen with 14 kills and 15 digs, while Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) led the Penmen with 20 kills. Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) added nine kills and 18 digs, while Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) added a match-high 38 assists.
Taila de Souza led the Yellow Jackets with 14 kills, while Ellisha Terry added 13 and Siri Ngundam added 11. Caitlin Connelly added a team-best 18 digs, while Terry also dished out a team-high 30 assists.
With the loss, the Penmen conclude their season at 5-17 overall and 3-12 in NE-10 play, while the win boosts the Yellow Jackets to 15-16 overall and 10-5 in league play and puts them in playoff contention.
