Box Score BRIDGEPORT, Conn.—The Southern New Hampshire University women's volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to the University of Bridgeport on Saturday afternoon in non-conference action. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 1-3 overall, while the win boosts the Purple Knights to 3-0 on the season.
Megan Lesczynski (Pine Bush, N.Y.) led the Penmen on the afternoon with seven kills and seven digs. Ashlee Daoust (Brookline, N.H.) also posted seven kills and added five digs. Peyton Williams (Huntington Beach, Calif.) added seven digs for the Penmen, while Emily Winters (Kingston, Ontario) dished out 18 assists.
Fernanda Costa led the offensive attack for Bridgeport with 13 kills and also added 10 digs on the day. Carolina Labato posted a match-high 15 digs, while Tamara Leite dished out a match-best 35 assists.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action on Thursday, September 15 when it travels to Merrimack College for a 7:00 p.m. Northeast-10 Conference matchup.
