Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire volleyball team dropped a 3-0 match to Northeast-10 opponent New Haven Saturday night. With the loss, the Penmen fall to 9-10 overall and 1-6 in the conference. The Chargers improve to 17-1 overall and remain unbeaten in league play with a 9-0 record.
New Haven beat the Penmen with game scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-12.
The Penmen were led offensively by Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) who totaled a match-high 14 kills. Solomon also posted six digs on the evening. Nina McGouldrick (Richardson, Texas) would also contribute offensively with her seven kills for the Penmen. Setter Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) added 31 assists, and libero Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) tallied 26 digs.
The Chargers were powered by Keidy Candelaria's 12 kills and seven digs. Kaulana Ane contributed a match-high 34 assists and Kea-Marie Olaso added 17 digs en route to the win.
The Penmen return to action Tuesday, October 23 when they travel to Stonehill College for a 7:30 p.m. league match.
