Box Score WALTHAM, Mass. – A goal 5:12 into overtime lifted Bentley University to a 1-0 Northeast-10 men's soccer victory over No. 12 Southern New Hampshire University Tuesday afternoon. The Falcons won their second straight to improve to 6-3-2 and 4-2-2 in the NE-10, while the Penmen saw a six-game win streak snapped and are now 10-2 and 6-2 in the league.
Michael Kahn scored the game-winning goal in the 96th minute for Bentley. Brennan DaCosta made an initial shot attempt that was stopped by SNHU keeper Dom DiMaggio (Rome, N.Y.), but Kahn collected the loose rebound and fired into an open net from five yards for his third goal of the season.
Alex Pilitsis made four saves en route to the shutout in goal for Bentley, while DiMaggio registered three saves. The Penmen outshot the Falcons 13-5 on the afternoon.
Southern New Hampshire returns to action Friday night when it travels to Southern Connecticut State University for a 7:00 Northeast-10 contest.
