Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. - The Southern New Hampshire volleyball team swept Nyack College in non-conference play Friday night to improve its record to 4-4. SNHU defeated Nyack with set scores of 25-18, 25-18, and 25-17. Nyack is now 4-2 on the season.
The Penmen were led offensively by Emma Houlihan (Shoreham, N.Y.) who totaled a match-high 13 kills. Libero Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) led SNHU defensively with 14 digs along with one service ace. Setter Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) dished out 24 assists en route to the Penmen win.
Nyack was led by Michelle Makela who tallied a match-high 17 digs, while Debbie Schendel totaled five kills and eight digs on the night for the Warriors.
SNHU returns to action tomorrow when they compete in a tri-match hosted by Mercy. They will play two non-conference matches against Goldey-Beacom at 2:00 p.m. followed by Mercy at 4:00 p.m.
