Box Score MANCHESTER, N.H. – No. 15 Southern New Hampshire University got a goal in each half en route to a 2-0 Northeast-10 men's soccer victory over Saint Michael's College Wednesday night at Larkin Field. The Penmen won their third in a row to improve to 7-1 and 4-1 in the NE-10, while the Purple Knights are now 5-2-2 and 1-2-2 in the league.\
Dominic Samuel (Toronto, Ontario) got the Penmen on the board in the 22nd minute. Jonathan Lupinelli (Mont de Marsan, France) sent a left-to-right corner kick into the box that initially glanced off the outstretched hands of Purple Knight keeper Logan Kingman before Samuel came in and headed it in inside the right post for his first collegiate goal.
Southern New Hampshire doubled its lead with just under 20 minutes remaining in the contest. On a restart, Christian Rodriguez (Manchester, N.H.) sent a long free kick into the box that Jordan Branco (Norton, Mass.) put a foot on just in front of the goal line. Kingman got a hand on it that slowed the ball, but it eventually crossed the line before a Saint Michael's defender in the vicinity could clear it away. It marked the second goal of the season for Branco.
Dom DiMaggio (Rome, N.Y.) made one save in goal en route to the shutout for Southern New Hampshire. Kingman played the first 72:22 and made seven saves before giving way to Nicco Roque, who recorded three saves the rest of the way. The Penmen outshot the Purple Knights 35-6.
Southern New Hampshire steps out of conference play Saturday night when it hosts Post University for a 7:00 contest at Larkin Field.
