WORCESTER, Mass. - The Southern New Hampshire volleyball team dropped a non-conference matchup against Assumption College Wednesday night. The Greyhounds swept the Penmen with game scores of 25-17, 25-22, and 25-19. The Penmen fall to 1-3, while Assumption advances to 4-1.

Erica Solomon (Islip Terrace, N.Y.) led the Penmen offensively with eight kills. She also finished with six digs and one service ace. Emma Houlihan (Shoreham, N.Y.) finished the match with seven kills and three digs for the Penmen. Freshman setter Catherine Cotton (Murphy, Texas) totaled a career high 24 assists to go along with two digs. Defensively, Kendra Mikuta (Orland Park, Ill.) led the Penmen with 14 digs.

The greyhounds were powered by Bizzie Gonring's match high 13 kills. Jess Reimers totaled 14 digs along with two kills, while setter Kristin Flatekval tallied 30 assists for Assumption.

The Penmen return to action on Saturday, September 8 when they host a tri-match featuring New York Institute of Technology and Post. Southern New Hampshire will play at 12:00pm against NYIT and at 4:00pm against Post, with a third match between Post and NYIT taking place at 2:00pm.
