Box Score SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Three second half goals propelled Southern New Hampshire University to a 3-0 shutout win over Le Moyne College in Northeast-10 women's soccer Saturday afternoon at the Niland Complex. The Penmen extended their unbeaten streak to four games and are now 5-4-3 overall and 2-3-3 in the NE-10, while the Dolphins are 4-5-2 and 2-4-2 in the league.
After a scoreless first half, SNHU got on the board 4:50 into the second stanza. Senior Bethi Ledoux (Westborough, Mass.) sent a long free kick into the box that was put home by classmate Emily Fougere (Scituate, Mass.) for her first goal of the season. The Penmen doubled the lead 1:50 later when freshman Alexa Poulin (Tewksbury, Mass.) stole a short goal kick by a Dolphin defender and put it in for her second goal of the season.
Sophomore Molly Carey (Swampscott, Mass.) added an insurance goal with 2:03 remaining. An initial shot by sophomore Morgan Branco (Norton, Mass.) was deflected, but Carey corralled the loose ball and beat Le Moyne keeper Tori Corsaro top left for her first collegiate goal.
